Luther College campus update: Decorah flood of 2008

A week after floodwaters have receded from the lower campus of Luther, the college is going forward with most summer programs and activities, and all campus buildings and facilities are back in operation except sections of the Regents Center athletic building and grounds.

All Luther summer session academic classes are being conducted as scheduled. Contact the Academic Dean’s office, telephone (563) 387-1005 if you need information about a specific summer session course.
There is no access to or use of the Athletic Fields on lower campus until further notice. College grounds crews are repairing flood damage and contamination on those fields. For information about which sports and fitness facilities are open in the Regents Center, call (563) 387-1024.
All buildings on upper campus are open for activities as usual. Street construction is continuing on upper campus, so vehicle and pedestrian traffic are restricted. Visitor parking is available in the Preus Library Parking Lot with access from College Drive via Pool Street. Pedestrians on campus are asked to please comply with directions posted on sidewalk signs.
