‘Christmas at Luther College’
“Christmas at Luther College,” a musical celebration of the joy, faith and traditions of Christmas, will be performed Dec. 3-6 in the Luther College Center for Faith and Life Main Hall.
The “Christmas at Luther” concert showcases 600-plus musicians of the college’s vocal and instrumental music ensembles. The nationally acclaimed concert, now in its 28th year, features traditional Christmas carols and a variety of sacred choral music. Read more

Luther Book Shop to host book signing with alumnus Kent Stock
Luther College Book Shop will host a book signing session with author Kent Stock Saturday, Dec. 5, 1-4 p.m. in the Luther Book Shop.
Stock will visit and sign copies of his book “Heading for Home: My Journey from Little League to Hollywood!” Copies of the book are available for purchase at the Luther Book Shop for $17.95. Read more

Alumni Corner
Amy M. Gardner ’97, recently became a partner in the litigation department of Ungaretti & Harris in Chicago, where she specializes in general commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation. Gardner has also been awarded a German Marshall Memorial Fellowship, a program whose aim is to expose emerging U.S. leaders to a changing and expanding Europe.
Anjela Shutts ’93, partner in the Des Moines law firm of Whitfield & Eddy, was among the Iowa lawyers who were recognized by Gov. Chet Culver for donating time and professional services for pro bono work. Read more
Twenty years ago, Luther College alumna Charlene “Char” (Ward) Davis ’72 was one of three people who established a prairie and tree arboretum at Neil Armstrong School in East Peoria. Their achievement is recognized in a feature story in the Galesburg Register-Mail.

LUTHER EVENTS CALENDAR: November 2009
Luther College is an undergraduate liberal arts institution of 2,500 students. Founded in 1861, the college is located in the river and bluff country of northeast Iowa.
